The long term demand of the malayalees to have a quality or smart driving license card is being fulfilled. The motor vehicle department announce that licenses on PVC PET G cards with more than seven security features are available. By overcoming many hurdles, the laminate driving license to become new smart driving license card.
The seven major security features have in new driving license card like Serial number, UV Embal, Guilloche pattern , Hot stamped hologram, Micro text, Optical variable ink and QR code. The license card is designed as per the ministry of road transport and highways. Chief Minister Pinaray Vijay has inaugurate the smart driving license on 20th April with precide Transport Minister Antony Raju.
Things to keep in mind while booking number registration for vehicle
• The number can be booked only after receiving a temporary registration number for the vehicle.
• Application number should be used to book the number. Temporary registration number and receipt number cannot be used. For chassis and body building vehicles and vehicles coming under temporary registration from other states, the application number obtained on payment of registration fees and taxes (if applicable) at the state office can be used.
• If a number is booked by only one person then that number is available without auction. After the auction starts, you should log in and check how many bidders there are.
• If there is more than one applicant for a number, it will be settled by auction. To participate in the auction, the amount must be increased from the base amount.
• If none of the applicants raise the bid amount then the number goes to the re-booking list without giving it to anyone. Non-participants will not be refunded.
Those who want a new smart driving license by pay Rs.200. But after one year, this rate will be increased as Rs.1200 include post fee also. - Go to the official website
- Choose the state and then choose also your RTO.
- Select “new driving license” from “Apply Online”. If you do not have a learner’s license, first obtain it.
- Enter your personal information and upload your scanner copies of documents such as identity proof, residense proof, age proof etc.
- After uploading your documents, upload your photos and signature.
- Book a DL test slot and pay the fees as per inform by pariivahan website.
- Go to the RTO office as your scheduled date.
- If you pass the driving test, then you will get a license by postal.
